From Iloilo, Dr. Primavera and PG Zoluaga report that:

“One downstream event of our 8 Filipina linkage was a Mangrove Painting Activity jointly organized by PG/Iloilo artists and my NGO (ZSL Community-based Mangrove Rehab Project) in Ajuy, Iloilo.” There was a live sketching activity in one of the mangrove areas and the works were later on exhibited at SM City Iloilo. Dr. Primavera adds that “PG’s painting was very popular among the 26 paintings.”

Dr. Primavera sent this picture to show another example of Manobo dancers, after seeing how Carlito, a Manobo based in Manila jammed with PG during the CCP opening

From Mindoro, Efren Garcellano writes:

“Am sorry for my non-attendance.  I have just signed in as special assistant for environment at the Governor’s office and we’re busy right now in searching for solutions to our problems.  A friend has seen the paintings in Facebook and seems to have enjoyed them.  Perhaps you can update me on the happenings.”

UP Tacloban Dean Margarita dela Cruz visited the show, October 20, with UP Visayas officials. Here she is with Norma Liongoren, May Datuin, and Rico Palacio’s interpretation of her life and work.
